The lost city of Pripyat in Ukraine has always been, in my mind, the crown jewel of urban exploration hobby. It’s a place that very few people get to visit, and I knew it would be the urban decay adventure of a lifetime. After researching available tours, I coordinated with a tour group for a three-night stay right in Chernobyl Town. A friend and I had four days to explore the ruins, and we made the most of our time, seeing as much of the city as we could. The experience was fast paced and was not enough time. I can’t imagine only doing the standard four-hour tour. Photographing Pripyat was something I never thought I’d have the chance to do, and it remains, by far, my favorite adventure—which is why it deserves its own album.
